Written on an 8-track recorder in singer, songwriter and producer Archeo’s bedroom, ‘The Payback‘ is pure stylised pop with a chorus so catchy it will really stick in your head.
A musical ride of futuristic pop that is mainstream and fun yet tasteful, credible and slick, the 21-year-old is not part of a particular scene and is not trying to establish a new one – yet he is fresh, exciting and new.
Archeo’s music is as global as his upbringing and heritage, and his sharp visual style throws in modern men’s tailoring, a slight rockabilly influence and a bit of a penchant for hair grease.
Check out the video above – which was shot in L.A. this summer – and look out for his debut album, due later this year, featuring producers such as Mr. Waltmann, MNEK (Rudimental, The Saturdays), Fred Cox (Wretch 32) and The White N3rd (Loick Essien).

The hilarious video features 15 dogs in wigs styled by hair-dresser extraordinaire Charlie Le Mindu, whose signature avant-garde haute-coiffure has graced the bonces of celebrities including Lady Gaga, Florence and the Machine, model Veruschka, VV Brown and The B52s.
America’s Best DJ Kaskade has collaborated with Skrillex – the DJ responsible for bringing dubstep to the masses – for this growling slice of electro which is combined with the musicality and melody that underpin Kaskade’s productions. Check out the video above which is shot in reverse, with the storyline read from beginning to end. The girl, who is the main subject of the video, holds her ears in pain as they bleed until she gets music in them.
Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo better known as the Bloody Beetroots, returns this summer with this pumping new track which embraces the garage-punk sound that the Bloody Beetroots Projects is so famously known for – rock infused exploding beats and vigorously energetic electro house.
Grammy-nominated Swedish DJ and producer Adrian Lux – who has in the past produced for the likes of Basement Jaxx – has released his new single ‘Burning‘, which is a progressive house track with a really cute video that tells the unlikely love story between a bunny and a shark galavanting around NYC.
